Man, I have been trying to figure out the best upcoming console game releases to watch for the rest of this year and it is driving me crazy. Every list I find is either from three months ago or just lists dates without saying if the game is actually going to be any good. I finally have a weekend free to actually sit down and play something new, but I keep scrolling through articles and getting nowhere.

I already tried just pre-ordering that new Star Wars game based on the trailer hype alone, which was a mistake because it looks like it got delayed again. The only other thing I did was check the PS Store sale section and grab a copy of Dave the Diver for like twenty bucks, which was fun for a week but not really the big experience I was after. I also read through a few pages of a Reddit thread about "hidden gems 2025" but half the suggestions were for games that already came out on PC last year. Maybe I set the bar too high expecting a proper list from a single source.
