Can a retroverted uterus cause lower back pain around periods?
#1
I’ve been told I have a retroverted uterus after my last pelvic exam, and my doctor said it’s just a normal anatomical variation. I’m still a bit worried because I sometimes get a dull ache in my lower back, especially around my period, and I’m wondering if the tilted position of my womb could be related.

I was told I have a retroverted uterus too, and the lower back ache around my period felt like dull pressure more than anything sharp. It helped a bit to hear it’s a normal variation, but I still worry sometimes.

I tried heat, a quick walk, and some ibuprofen when it flared, and I kept telling myself it’s probably nothing serious. The pattern was inconsistent, so I didn’t get a real answer.

I kept a tiny diary for a couple of cycles and noted when the ache showed up. It often lined up with my period, but not always, so I wasn’t sure there was a clear link.

Do you have other symptoms like heavy bleeding, sharp pains, or pain with intercourse?
