Could my retroverted uterus explain lower back pain during periods?
#1
I’ve been told I have a retroverted uterus after my last pelvic exam, and I’m wondering if this might be why I sometimes have a dull ache in my lower back, especially around my period. My doctor said it’s normal, but it’s new information for me and I’m curious if others with the same anatomy notice specific sensations or if it’s unrelated.

I have a retroverted uterus too, and I sometimes get a dull back ache around my period. It’s not every month, and when it happens it usually eases after a day or two. I’ve learned not to panic because it seems to shift with how long I’ve been sitting or how tense I am. It feels closer to cramps than a spine issue.

My doctor said that position is common and not usually the cause of pain, but I still notice a similar ache now and then. It might be nerves or just how cramps radiate in my pelvis. I try not to read too much into it.

Do you track when it hurts most, like with heavier flow or after long desk days?

I’ve tried heat packs and light stretching; sometimes it helps, sometimes not. One month I skipped a workout and wondered if that made it worse, or maybe not. Either way, I kept going with loose plans.
