Got no-code platforms working but stuck on deployment issues
#1
So I’m in this weird spot where Bubble is actually doing most of what I need for my small retail inventory tracker. I’ve got the database set up, the workflows are firing, and I can log products and update stock levels manually without any issues. But the automatic reorder alerts just don’t work right — they trigger randomly or not at all, even though I’ve followed three different tutorials step by step. It’s frustrating because everything else feels solid and I don’t want to rebuild the whole thing in another platform, but this one feature is kind of the whole point of building it myself instead of using an off-the-shelf app.

I’ve double-checked the conditional logic like ten times and the date comparisons look correct to me, but maybe I’m missing something obvious. The alerts are supposed to fire when the current stock drops below the reorder threshold and the last order date is older than 14 days — but sometimes they fire for items I just restocked yesterday and sometimes they stay silent for stuff that’s been sitting at zero for a week. Is there a known issue with Bubble’s backend workflows and recurring schedules, or am I just setting up the conditions wrong? I’d rather stick with Bubble than jump to something like Glide or Adalo, but this one crack is making me wonder if I picked the wrong horse.

I used Bubble for my inventory too, and I ran into a similar issue. The backend sometimes has delays. Check if your database is set to refresh correctly on schedule.

Sounds familiar. I’ve had alert issues with Bubble too. It might be worth looking into how your recurring workflows are set up. Are there any conflicts?

Those alerts can be tricky. Have you considered whether other plugins or workflows might be interfering? I had a similar problem where another workflow was overriding my conditions.
