Healing through biohacking surprised me with unexpected side effects

I feel like I have almost everything dialed in. My sleep is eight hours consistently, I exercise five times a week, I eat mostly a Mediterranean diet with intermittent fasting, and my bloodwork looks decent across the board. But there is one wall I keep hitting that I cannot seem to break through. No matter what I try, my skin elasticity is declining noticeably, and my energy levels have a stubborn midday crash that no amount of caffeine fixes. I have read enough to know that something like NAD+ precursors or certain peptides might be the missing piece, but every time I dig into the research I run into the same problem. The dosing protocols are all over the place, the bioavailability of different forms like NMN versus NR versus plain nicotinamide is debated endlessly, and I cannot tell if I need a liposomal version or if sublingual is actually better for absorption. I have tried high-dose resveratrol with piperine for three months and saw nothing. I tried glycine and NAC together and felt a slight difference but nothing dramatic. And I do not want to throw money into another bottle of something without knowing exactly which compound and delivery method actually makes a dent in these two specific symptoms. So my question is simple. If you have a solid foundation already in place, and you only have room in your budget for one supplement that targets skin elasticity and midday energy, which form and dose of NAD+ precursor do you choose and why does it work when the others do not?

Honestly, if you're considering NAD+ precursors, NMN is generally regarded as more effective than NR, especially in terms of skin elasticity. Dosage around 250-500mg seems to be the sweet spot. Just make sure to choose a reputable brand.
