How can i actually improve my sleep quality beyond the basics?
#1
I’ve been trying to stick to a consistent sleep schedule for months now, but I keep waking up feeling groggy no matter how many hours I get. I track my sleep and avoid screens before bed, but that refreshed morning feeling just isn’t happening. Has anyone else figured out how to actually improve their sleep quality beyond just the basics?

I’ve been in the same boat for months. I track hours and rituals, but mornings still feel like I’m dragging through a fog. I tried caffeine cutoff, earlier workouts, even silencing screens, and still woke up groggy. Some nights felt fine and I still woke up off. It’s frustrating, and I’m not sure what I’m missing.

What helped a bit was changing more than the basics. I added a warm bath and a quick cool-down in the bedroom, and I tried a small daily hike after work. On the weeks that happened consistently, I woke up a touch clearer, not perfect but noticeable.

Could the real issue be your circadian rhythm rather than the hours you log?

I once tried a pinch of magnesium and a dawn sunlight routine; some mornings were better, others not. It felt like a loose thread I kept tugging at. Maybe it’s not about sleep quality itself but how the day begins.
