How can i adjust to vr flight stick tracking when i can't see my hands?
#1
I finally got my hands on a proper VR flight stick, but I’m struggling to find my bearings when I look down and don’t see my own hands in the cockpit. Does anyone else feel a weird disconnect when your virtual arms don’t quite follow your real-world movements, especially during complex maneuvers?

Yeah I know that feeling when you look down and there are no real hands the cockpit moves with the stick but your body nothing lines up

I tried a quick check by focusing on the horizon and letting the head stay steady for a few minutes the alignment felt closer after I adjusted the seat height

Maybe the problem is the stance or seating and not the arms I felt it in my gut that the picture was wrong and I kept chasing a line that wasnt there

I measured my arm reach and set the stick to a comfortable reach and then flew by feel not eyes and it helped a bit

Do you think the missing hands are the real issue or could it be the tracking lag

I still end up fighting the drift on fast maneuvers and end up trusting the stick more than the image which feels odd

One night I tried a calmer training mode and the view slowed a bit and the cockpit looked different it felt like a reset without solving the core idea
