How can i balance healthier social media feed without creating an echo chamber?
#1
I’ve been trying to cut back on my screen time, but every time I mute or unfollow someone for being too negative, I feel like I’m just making my feed an echo chamber. Has anyone else struggled with balancing a healthier feed without completely shutting out different viewpoints?

Yeah I get that. I muted a few voices and then noticed my feed kept circling the same vibe. It started to feel like I was narrowing the world instead of quieting the noise.

One thing I tried was following accounts from different angles and setting a timer to check in once a day. It helped for a bit, but the old patterns came back when I skipped the timer.

Could the real issue be how much time you spend doom scrolling rather than the people you mute or unfollow?

I did a weekend break and kept a small journal about what I hoped to get from the feed. It helped me notice when a post actually mattered, but I still miss quick updates and it didnt feel like a real fix.
