How can i balance visuals and performance in Genshin on mobile?
#1
I’ve been playing a lot of Genshin Impact on my phone lately, and the battery drain is just brutal. My device gets so hot after about thirty minutes that the frame rate starts to chug, even on the lowest settings. I’m wondering if anyone else has found a good balance between visual quality and performance that doesn’t cook your phone.

I’ve been playing Genshin Impact on a midrange Android, and after about 30 minutes my phone gets hot and the frame rate tanks even on the lowest settings. What helped a little was forcing the display to 60 Hz and capping the game around 30fps, plus flipping on battery saver. It still gets warm, but I can finish a session without the device cooking itself.

Hubby’s phone does the same and he swears closing background apps helps a bit. I tried it too, plus keeping the phone out of direct sun and not charging while playing—though that last part is annoying when you’re low on power. Temps ride into the high 40s Celsius and you can feel the throttling when it matters.

Do you think the real issue is mobile optimization in the game, or is it just the hardware throttling once the device heats up?

One time I got curious and wandered off to a quick video, then came back and the game felt a touch smoother after a restart. Not sure if that was placebo, but the practical bit is to keep sessions short and maybe play at cooler times of day.
