How can I break through a stacked Domination defense?
#1
I’ve been trying to get better at holding down the objective in Domination, but my squad just gets wiped every time we push the point. What are you supposed to do when the other team has a full stack locking it down with coordinated fire? I feel like I’m missing some basic tactic for breaking through that kind of defense.

In Domination I’ve seen a squad try to hold the point with a full stack and pretty much lock it down. Our first couple pushes got wiped, then we tried a quick flank to pull their attention, and one teammate slipped through the gap to flip the cap. It bought us time, and we stabilized after a long hold.

We experimented with a split: two light-armor guys on the high ground, two staying mid, two attacking. It forced a rotation and we crept the meter forward for a short window before they reconstituted.

Maybe the real bottleneck isn’t the other team’s fire so much as spacing and healing. If our healers are caught between the point and the enemy line, we melt fast.

Three wipes in a row forced us to stop pushing. We switched to defending the approach and tried to identify a peel or retreat path, but the goal slipped away anyway.

One time a smoke and decoy shift bought us five seconds of control; after the smoke cleared they reloaded and we were back to even.

I keep looping back to the idea that maybe we’re fighting the wrong problem; maybe we should look at routes and timing, not just brute force.

Do you want me to share a concrete sequence we used last weekend, or do you want me to brainstorm if maybe your problem isn’t the defense?
