How can i extend smartwatch battery life without sacrificing essential features?

I just got the new smartwatch and I'm already hitting a wall with its battery life. It barely lasts a full day if I use the always-on display and track a workout, which makes me wonder if I should just turn off most features to get through 48 hours.

Yeah I get that. On mine the always on display drains the charge, and a solid workout session pushes it over the edge. I just pulled back to normal wake behavior and charge it nightly.

I turned on power saver mode, turned off always-on, and kept brightness on auto. Not perfect, but I stretched to nearly two days once I cut back on notifications and paused GPS during non workout windows.

Could be something else draining it too, like a background sync or GPS waking the screen during workouts. Hard to know without digging into the usage stats, though?

I did a quick weekend test and it felt like nothing changed. Not sure if the update or the heat from wearing it is hurting the run time. Feels a little frustrating to chase the magic setting.
