How can I finally build a sustainable early morning wake-up habit?
#1
I’ve been trying to get up at 5:30 AM for weeks, but I just can’t seem to make it stick. My alarm goes off and my brain immediately starts negotiating for just ten more minutes, which turns into an hour. Has anyone actually managed to build a consistent early rising habit without it feeling like pure punishment every single morning?

I can relate. I finally made it stick for about a month by forcing myself out of bed when the alarm rang, even if I felt like crawling back under the covers.

For me the snooze button was the enemy, so I tried leaving the phone in another room and just getting up with the first sound. It sucked for a while, but after a week I stopped negotiating.

Could the issue be less about waking up and more about sleep quality or how the evenings go? Maybe the problem isn’t the 5:30 idea itself.

One memory: I teamed up with a friend to text at 5:30 for a couple of weeks; it helped to have a check-in, then life got busy and we drifted apart.
