How can I get my picky toddler to eat more than beige foods?

I’m really struggling with my toddler’s sudden refusal to eat anything that isn’t beige. Just last week she loved peas and sweet potato, but now it’s only crackers, plain pasta, and toast. I know it’s a common phase, but I’m worried she’s not getting enough nutrients and I’m already tired of the mealtime battles. How long did this stage last for your kids, and did you find anything that helped without turning every meal into a negotiation?

Yeah we rode that wave too for about a month it came back and forth. I gave her small portions of the safe beige stuff plus a rainbow of dip options so she could choose. I kept meals calm no big fights and just kept offering a bite or two of the new things alongside the regulars

Mine did this for a bit and I just gave in a little less often after a couple of weeks. I kept the routine and offered the same plate again at the next meal with a tiny new bite on the side and a familiar base every time

Maybe the real issue isnt the beige phase but a tired kid not wanting to sit through meals and get overstimulated I tried a timer and short meals but not sure if it helped long term could the problem be something else?

I did try making a simple beige base edible for a toddler then added a tiny colorful side and let her pick a few bites it was slow going but we saw small gains a week or two later and I learned not to push for full meals every time
