How can i identify the end credits music from that movie?

I’ve been trying to find that specific piece of music from the end credits of the 1995 film "The Secret of Roan Inish," but I only have a vague memory of the melody and the sound of uilleann pipes. Every soundtrack listing I check seems to have a different track order, and I can’t match the tune I’m humming to any of the official track titles. Has anyone else had this kind of trouble pinpointing a single cue from a film score?

Been there. I spent weeks chasing an end credits cue with those airy uilleann pipes, and the official releases shuffled the track order so many times that the melody never lined up. It felt like chasing a moving target.

Sometimes the same tune shows up in two different tracks, or a medley hides the hook you hum. I ended up listening for the cadence and rhythm rather than the exact title, and that helped a bit.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the cue is a shared theme or a background motif rather than a standalone track, so it never lands on a single track name.

Have you tried posting a short clip to a score forum or reaching out to the label to confirm the liner notes?
