How can I improve map awareness and track enemy rotations in ranked?
#1
I’ve been trying to improve my map control in ranked, but I keep getting caught out by rotations I don’t see coming. It feels like my awareness just hits a wall once the mid-game starts, even when I think I’m keeping up with timers and objectives. How do you learn to track the entire enemy team’s movement without losing focus on your own role?

One thing I tried was slowing down and watching the map for practical cues. I kept an eye on where people push and where they vanish after a fight. It helped a bit when I could reset my focus after making a call but I still drift back to the wrong part of the map.

Maybe we are chasing a problem that is not the real one?

I would note a few patterns then try to trust them rather than chase every new ping. After mid game when the map gets crowded I hold a quick mental checklist of what should be true for my own lane and what that implies about unseen enemies.

Sometimes I get pulled into a tangle of small details and forget my own job. I try a simple habit of marking in my head when to peek a ward or sweep and then I snap back to the plan for my role even if the map still feels chaotic.
