How can i stick with a morning routine after two weeks?
#1
I’ve been trying to build a consistent morning routine for months, but I keep hitting a wall around the two-week mark where my motivation just evaporates. I’m not sure if my expectations are unrealistic or if I’m missing a fundamental piece of personal discipline to make it stick.

I have tried something similar. Two weeks in the motivation fades. I started with a tiny routine just water when I wake and five minutes of stretching. I kept that for a month. It felt boring but it stayed doable and that mattered. Then I added a short reading block and the momentum came and went.

Maybe the wall is not discipline but whether the routine feels worth it. If it is a chore you will lose interest fast. I tried forcing a study block in the morning and I hated it. I swapped to something I enjoyed for the first 15 minutes and the streak lasted longer even if the rest was not perfect.

I wonder if the issue is timing not motivation. Some people hit that two week wall because life keeps barging in. Do you want to test a no pressure week with just one tiny thing and nothing else to see if it sticks?

A moment of honesty I have chased several routines and kept slipping and I trimmed it to one thing at a time. I try to log a tiny win at night too not just in the morning. It helps a little but consistency still feels fragile.
