How can i turn short clips into a gateway to my full videos?

I’ve been trying to build a consistent audience by posting short, polished clips from my longer videos, but my engagement just isn’t translating. I put so much work into editing these vertical snippets, hoping they’d act as a gateway to the full content, but the click-through rate is abysmal. Maybe I’m just not cutting the right moments to tease.

I hear you. I spent hours chopping vertical clips, trying to nail the intro, the pacing, the captions, and still the engagement stayed stubbornly flat. It felt like the best moment was right after the cut, but nothing followed through.

I did try posting more often, swapping between punchy quick takes and longer tossed-in clips, and tracked saves versus shares. The pattern was chaotic and never gave me a reliable lift to the full videos.

Could the real problem be the premise rather than the cut? Maybe people click for a promise you’re not delivering in the full piece, or maybe they want a different format altogether?

I drifted into chasing the analytics for a while and forgot how the thing sounded when I talked with someone face to face. It felt like the clips looked good on the screen but the voice behind them wasn’t landing, so I paused and went back to basics, not sure if that helped.
