How can we counter an anchor who locks down the objective in ranked 3v3?
#1
I’ve been playing a lot of ranked 3v3 lately, and my team keeps getting completely shut down by groups that run a dedicated anchor who just locks down the objective. It feels like we’re missing a fundamental piece of how to play around that kind of defensive pressure, and I’m starting to wonder if our whole comp is wrong.

Yep, that anchor thing wrecks us too. We notice they lock the objective while our frontline is still regrouping. We started calling early rotations and trying to trade one for one rather than overcommitting, which helps sometimes but it feels inconsistent. Not sure if we’re misreading timing or if the map itself invites that lockdown.

Is the real problem our comms and decision making, or is this a symptom of a bigger issue?

We tried a fast split push into their flanks, but they collapsed on the rotation and we got wiped. At least we learned which angles they guard.

Sometimes I feel like I overthink it and it’s just bad luck; other times I wonder if the team comp itself is the root. Maybe we should test a different plan and see if we can force more resets.
