How can we make remote charades work over video calls without chaos?
#1
I just tried playing charades over video call with my family, and it was a complete disaster. My dad’s screen kept freezing right when he was miming the title, and my sister was laughing so hard she couldn’t even guess. Has anyone else managed to make this kind of game actually work remotely without it descending into chaos?

We tried remote charades with the family last Sunday and the chaos was real. Dad's screen froze right as he was miming and my sister started laughing so hard she almost fell off her chair, and somehow we kept going anyway, guessing between lag spikes.

One cousin swore by muting video during the mime moments and using the chat for clues instead; it slowed the chaos a little, though it still wasn’t smooth.

Another time we swapped to a lightweight game app that handles turns and timers, and at least the guessing part felt a bit more normal even if the video kept lagging.

Is the real problem latency, or is it the laughter pulling people off track?
