How common is an incidental finding of a retroverted uterus?
#1
I’ve been told I have a retroverted uterus after my last pelvic exam. I’m not having any pain, but I’m a bit confused because I always assumed this would cause noticeable symptoms. Is it common to find out about this incidentally?

That happened to me once during a regular exam and I was surprised nothing hurt and it was just noted as a variation.

Yeah it is fairly common to hear you have a retroverted uterus when doctors describe something found during an exam or imaging, and most people never notice a difference in daily life.

Do you have any other symptoms like pain with sex or trouble conceiving?

I drifted into google rabbit holes about anatomy and fertility but kept coming back to the idea that a note like this is common and usually not something that changes anything.
