How do I adjust my gaming chair to stop back pain during long sessions?
#1
I just got a new gaming chair and I’m honestly struggling to get comfortable for long sessions. My lower back starts to ache after an hour or so, even though I’ve tried adjusting the lumbar support and the tilt. Has anyone else had this specific issue and found a setting that actually works?

I had a similar ache after an hour until I fiddled with seat depth and back support. I pulled the pad a bit higher and raised the chair so my feet sit flat. It took a couple weeks, but the ache eased when I stopped slouching and let the hips settle.

Could be not just padding but how the tilt is letting your pelvis tip forward. I tried lowering the back slightly and dialing the recline a touch, and I still felt it if I stayed rigid for long stretches, but a relaxed stance helped.

I even started fiddling with the desk height and a cheap footrest, because the legs felt numb when I kept the chair at one height. After a few days I noticed the back pain would creep back if I forgot to stretch; the chair alone didn't fix it.

Do you have a way to measure posture?
