How do i adjust my rotation after the patch changed cooldowns?

I love creative journaling but sometimes I get stuck in a rut of just writing paragraphs. I've been experimenting with different storytelling techniques and creative journaling approaches, and I'm looking for more ideas.

What are some creative journaling methods you've tried that go beyond traditional writing? I'm thinking about things like:

- Collage journaling with photos and memorabilia
- Audio journaling (recording thoughts instead of writing)
- Visual journaling with sketches and drawings
- Mixed media approaches

I'm especially interested in how people incorporate different storytelling techniques into their personal journals. Has anyone tried something unconventional that really worked for them?

I love creative journaling! One of my favorite techniques is what I call found poetry" journaling. I'll take pages from old books, magazines, or even my own previous journal entries, cut out interesting words and phrases, and arrange them into poetic collages.

Another idea: map journaling. Instead of writing about a place, I draw a map of it from memory, adding notes about what happened in different locations. This works especially well for travel memories or childhood neighborhoods.

I've also tried audio journaling, and what I like about it is capturing the emotion in my voice that doesn't come through in writing. The hesitation, the laughter, the tears - it's all there.

I've been experimenting with what I call conversation journaling" - writing dialogues with different parts of myself or with people from my past. It's a powerful storytelling technique for exploring relationships and internal conflicts.

Another creative approach: object journaling. I choose an object that holds meaning (a childhood toy, a piece of jewelry, a ticket stub) and write from its perspective. What has it witnessed? What stories could it tell?

I also love incorporating ephemera - train tickets, restaurant receipts, pressed flowers. These physical artifacts make the journal feel like a time capsule rather than just a book of words.

For creative journaling, I use a lot of visual elements. Sometimes I'll create mood boards for different periods of my life - colors, textures, images that capture the feeling of that time.

I also do list journaling" - but creative lists. Not just to-do lists, but things like: "10 smells that bring back memories" or "7 conversations I wish I could have again" or "5 doors that closed and 5 that opened."

Another technique: write in different formats. Try writing a memory as a newspaper article, a recipe, a letter, a poem. Changing the format can reveal new insights about the experience.

My travel journals are heavily visual. I sketch quick drawings of places, people, food. The drawings don't have to be good - they're memory aids more than art.

I also collect textures - rubbings of interesting surfaces, samples of local fabrics or papers. These get incorporated into the journal alongside my writing.

Another idea: sound journaling. I record ambient sounds from places I visit - market noises, bird calls, street music. Later, listening to those recordings while writing brings back the full sensory experience.

For storytelling techniques, I sometimes write about a place as if I'm giving a tour to a friend. The conversational tone feels natural and captures details I might otherwise overlook.

I've been experimenting with future journaling" - writing letters to my future self, or imagining how I'll look back on current experiences years from now. It's an interesting perspective shift.

Another creative approach: timeline journaling. Instead of daily entries, I create visual timelines of projects, relationships, or personal growth periods. Adding images, quotes, and key moments along the timeline.

I also love incorporating different writing implements - colored pencils, fountain pens, markers, even charcoal. The physical act of writing with different tools changes the experience and sometimes unlocks different thoughts.

I just logged in after the latest patch and my main build feels completely off. The cooldown adjustments they mentioned have totally changed the rhythm of my rotation, and I’m not sure how to adapt my gear now.

Yeah, I felt the same this morning. After the patch my main build just didn’t flow anymore and I seemed to waste a couple globals trying to realign the rotation.

I tried delaying one cooldown by a few seconds and nudging another window earlier, and the numbers looked different but the cadence still felt off.

I swapped in a different piece of gear and rechecked my stat weights, but the notes about the patch made me rethink what I was stacking for this season.

Do you think the issue is really the rotation timing or is the cooldown interaction with resource generation the real problem here?

I started tidying the desk and grabbed a coffee, and while I was sorting cables I kept thinking about the patch notes, but when I came back I still couldn't settle the rhythm.

One quick thing I did was set a micro-goal: land the first two casts cleanly and only then press the third, and it helped a notch, but it didn't fix the whole rhythm.

Not sure if this is a bug or just a tuning pass, but I’m not confident enough to overhaul the build without more data.
