How do i declutter concert tees without erasing memories?
#1
I’ve been trying to reduce my wardrobe to only what I truly wear and love, but I keep getting stuck on my collection of graphic t-shirts from past concerts and events. Each one feels like a memory I’m holding onto, not an item I actually need. I’m not sure how to approach letting them go without feeling like I’m erasing those parts of my life.

I did something like this last year. I pulled out every memory-y shirt and tried to wear them for a week, just to see what I actually reach for. The few that felt useful stayed, the rest went into a box marked 'not today.' It still stings a little, but the space is real.

Maybe the problem isn’t the shirts at all but the idea of erasing a memory. If the fear is that part of you disappears, maybe keep a photo album, or a ticket stub book, and let the closet go lighter without the guilt.

I kept one graphic tee that captures the biggest memory and cut the rest into patches for a bag; those patched pieces turned into something useful.

Some days I wonder if this is the right move; maybe the problem is deeper, like our closet is the wrong storage for memories, not the clothes themselves.
