We had a weekly coaching night run by one guy who kept a loose plan. Only half the roster showed, but the people there actually improved by the end. The rest drifted away and nobody pushed them back in.

Found a small squad of 6 to 8 who treat it like a hobby, not a job. We use voice chat during matches and a shared doc where we note what to work on after games. Not everyone participates, but it works for us.

Is the real problem the timing or the people? Sometimes I think it's the time zones and scheduling gaps more than the squad itself.

I once joined a clan that talked about no drama and objective focus, but the leader started pushing for mandatory practice nights and it felt like a second job. After a couple weeks I bailed.
