How do I improve tracking enemy cooldowns without getting overwhelmed?

I’ve been trying to get better at tracking enemy cooldowns in my matches, but I just can’t seem to keep it all straight in the middle of a team fight. My focus shatters the moment things get chaotic, and I end up making calls based on guesswork instead of knowing their abilities are down. How do you even practice that mental stack without getting overwhelmed?

I used to try to map every ability window in my head and it fell apart the moment the team fight got loud. I gave myself one anchor instead: pick one big threat and track its rough window. Not perfect math, just a gut sense that says 'this is probably up around now' or 'it’s probably down for a bit.' That single anchor keeps me from swinging wildly and gives me a safer choice in the middle of chaos.

I started dropping quick calls after fights to reset the mental map. If I saw a big spell land, I’d say that move is down and force myself to re-evaluate for the next engage instead of guessing.

I try to count time after a key ability, like three counts, but it’s never exact. It helps a little, and after a dozen games you start spotting patterns—who recovers fast, who uses a dash on cooldown—though I still feel like I’m guessing more than certain.

Maybe the real snag isn’t timers but keeping listening during the chaos. Is it our comms that fall apart?
