How do i merge new armor sets without breaking crafting from load order?

I’m trying to add some new armor sets to my game, but every time I try to merge them with my existing gameplay overhauls, something breaks in the crafting menu. I can’t tell if it’s a load order issue or if the meshes are just fundamentally incompatible.

I’ve run into this before. when I dropped new armor packs into my save the crafting menu started misbehaving and it felt like a load order issue more than anything with the meshes. sometimes it would show the recipes but the UI would glitch or swap materials. rearranging the plugin order helped for a while, but the odd crashes lingered.

I tried a clean install and added mods one by one, armor sets last. when I kept the big gameplay overhaul out the recipes behaved, but as soon as I added it back in the menu broke again. that told me it was patch conflicts, not the models themselves.

Have you tried temporarily removing one of the overhauls to test?

I also chased the idea that some sets reference old mesh paths that the overhaul rewrites. I paused on that route because it was taking forever, but renaming a texture or updating a path sometimes nudged the menu back in line, then things would drift again.
