I’m trying to figure out where the line is between a respectful cultural exchange and appropriation. Last week I wore a hairstyle from a culture I admire but don’t belong to, and a friend said it felt off even though my intent wasn’t to offend. Now I’m questioning how to appreciate without overstepping.
