I just got a new phone and my old account progress in Marvel Snap is completely gone. I thought it would sync through my Google Play account, but it's asking me to start the tutorial from the beginning. Has anyone else had this happen when switching between Android devices? I really don't want to lose all my cards and variants.

Yeah that happened to me with Marvel Snap when I switched phones. The game dumped me back at the tutorial and my deck looked wiped even though I was signed into Google Play.

I double checked I was using the same Google account, and the device ID thing didn’t help. It felt like the cloud save is flaky.

I tried reinstalling and linking again, but nothing synced over. I ended up keeping the old phone around just for the progress.

I’ve started wondering if the game ties progress to some in game account rather than the Google Play one. If there’s a separate login somewhere, that could be the missing link.

Has anyone actually managed to recover their progress after a device switch, or is this just a typical reset?
