How do i remove an old profile from a ghost site that shows in search results?

I’ve been trying to scrub my old usernames from the web and hit a wall. Some old forum I used in high school is still showing my profile in search results, and the site itself seems completely abandoned, so there’s no way to delete the account or contact an admin. It feels like a piece of my past is just permanently stuck out there. Has anyone else dealt with a ghost site like this?

I ran into this exact thing with an old forum from high school the profile shows up in search results even though the site is dead I kept hoping for a delete option or a contact email but there was nothing and the page just sat there

Do you think the real problem is the site or the way search engines keep caches and old links alive?

One thing I did was ping the hosting company and ask for site closure but they never replied so I tried the engine removal tool and waited weeks with no change

Sometimes I wonder if the urge to scrub is bigger than the impact of one forgotten account and I drift into other tasks and come back later
