How do I shake off goal paralysis and start making real progress?
#1
I’ve been feeling really stuck lately because I can’t seem to make any real progress on my personal goals. Every time I sit down to work on them, I get overwhelmed by how far I have to go and end up doing nothing. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of paralysis, where the finish line feels so distant it stops you from even starting?

Yeah, I know that feeling. I sit down with a big goal in mind and suddenly the distance between now and then feels like a wall. I end up scrolling or staring at a page and nothing moves.

One thing I tried was writing one tiny task for the day and timing myself for ten minutes. The first time I did it, it felt almost silly, but at least I started; not perfect, but something moved.

Sometimes I wonder if the real issue isn’t laziness but how the goal is framed. If I change the wording or the horizon, I somehow breathe a little easier and start something light.

Do you think maybe the finish line is the wrong thing to chase right now?
