How do i solve the two-shadow door puzzle in this light and shadow platformer?

I keep hitting a wall in this puzzle platformer where you manipulate light and shadow, and I'm starting to wonder if I'm just missing something obvious. The part where you have to use the single, stationary light source to cast two specific shadows simultaneously to unlock a door seems logically impossible.

I spent a lot of time watching the beam and the silhouettes, trying to spot two shapes at once. The stationary light makes the second silhouette move only when you tilt the object in the beam, which felt like chasing a moving target. I kept thinking maybe I read the room wrong, but every run ended with the door staying shut.

I did try placing a crate in the beam and watching the cast shapes on the wall. I measured alignment by the door frame edges and still nothing lined up at the same moment. It felt like timing more than geometry, and I parked it for a bit.

Maybe the trick isn't about the light at all, but about when the door checks for both silhouettes? Are we sure two different shapes are required, or could it be a single silhouette that triggers a state change?

I wandered to the side room and looked at a mural, then came back to the beam thinking about how light bends. It reminded me that sometimes the simplest thing is to wait and watch the shapes repeat at a slower pace rather than forcing a solution. Then I still couldn't tell if it mattered what the shapes were.
