How do invincibility frames work for dodging boss attacks in Genshin Impact?
#1
I’ve been trying to get better at dodging boss attacks in Genshin Impact, but I keep getting clipped even when I swear I pressed the dash button. Is it just my timing that’s off, or is there some hidden trick to the invincibility frames that I’m not getting?

I feel you. I’ve been trying to dodge boss attacks for ages and still get clipped even when I swear I pressed dash at the red glow. Sometimes it seems my input lands a beat late or the game eats the invincibility frames before I actually roll through the hit.

Latency check: I’ve watched fights where my dash clearly registers, but the hit still lands short of the i frames. I’ve tried timing a touch early, a touch late, and nothing feels reliable week to week.

Do you think the problem is timing, or is it more about lag or hitbox quirks, something external masking what you’re actually doing?

Every so often I drift into watching the boss wind up instead of my own animation. The cues look right on screen, but I still get pulled in by the attack anyway. It’s frustrating and not consistent, which makes it hard to know what to fix.
