How do you stay disciplined when stocks dip after you buy?

I’m trying to stick to a disciplined approach of buying quality stocks on significant dips, but I keep second-guessing myself when the price keeps falling after my purchase. How do you handle the psychology when your initial entry point ends up looking premature a week later?

I bought a stock after a big dip and watched it drift lower for another week I felt premature and scared to admit I might be wrong yet I reminded myself of the original thesis and tried to tune out the loud price action

I found it helpful to write down why I bought it in the first place and what would make me change my mind then I revisited that note after the dip and it showed that the core reasons still held even as the price moved

I set a small rule for myself a price drop of a certain percent would trigger a recheck of the thesis I looked at cash flow quality and the runway and I still chose to hold sometimes the doubt came back later

Do you think the real problem is not the stock but the fear of missing further gains when the price slides or is it something else
