How long did your Eustachian tube dysfunction symptoms last?
#1
I’ve had this persistent, low-grade earache for about three weeks now, and my doctor mentioned it might be related to eustachian tube dysfunction. It’s not a sharp pain, just this constant dull pressure and fullness that makes everything sound muffled, especially in my left ear. I’m just wondering if others have felt something similar and how long it took for that clogged sensation to finally clear up.

I went through something like that last winter. A constant dull pressure in one ear, muffled sound. It stuck for about three weeks, with tiny fluctuations—some mornings felt a little clearer, by evenings it was back to square one. It faded on its own without anything dramatic changing.

Mine dragged on closer to a month. It would ease for a day or two, then come back after yawns or big breaths. I tried to avoid flying and not blowing my ears out, but I’m not sure that helped or just happened.

It makes me wonder if the real issue is eustachian tube dysfunction or something else like wax buildup. Do you think the problem is really what you've been told?

Two to four weeks, give or take, and it just started to drift away. Not dramatic, just a slow clearing, and then it was mostly fine again.
