How long does constant ear pressure and muffled hearing last?
#1
I’ve been dealing with a constant feeling of pressure in my ears for about three weeks now, and my hearing seems slightly muffled, especially in my left ear. I don’t have any pain or recent cold, but it’s starting to worry me because it’s not clearing up on its own.

That sounds rough. Three weeks of pressure and muffled hearing isn’t something to ignore. A quick check with a GP or ENT might give you some clarity, especially since it hasn’t improved.

I had something similar after a flight and it eased slowly after swallowing, yawning, and staying hydrated. It took longer than I expected, though.

Could be wax buildup or Eustachian tube issues. I stopped poking at it and tried gentle humidification for a bit; progress was minimal.

If it’s been this persistent, you should see someone. If you notice dizziness, discharge, fever, or a sudden drop in hearing, seek care sooner.

A friend waited and ended up getting a quick check and it turned out to be fluid behind the drum. Not saying that’s what’s happening, but it made me cautious.

Maybe the issue isn’t the ear at all. jaw or neck tension can feel like fullness, and stress can amplify sounds. It’s worth a clinician’s take but I wouldn’t over-guess.
