How should I handle EV charging etiquette at shared level 2 stations?
#1
I just got my first EV and I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle charging at my apartment complex. They have a few shared level 2 stations, but I'm worried about etiquette and how often I should move my car once it's full.

Yeah, I’m in a similar situation. Shared Level 2 spots make etiquette feel like a rumor, but I learned to plan around it. I try to cap at about 80 percent and unplug, then move the car so someone else can start charging. It still feels a little awkward to pull out early, but it helps keep things fair.

I keep a timer on my phone and watch the app. If there’s a line, I’ll unplug when it hits around 80 percent and move the car a few minutes later so someone else can plug in.

Do they have a written policy on time limits or reserved stalls? If not, it might be worth nudging management or the HOA to set expectations.

Sometimes the bigger puzzle is the layout. The closest stalls are always crowded because the outlets are tucked away at the far end. It makes the whole system feel haphazard.
