How should I structure a fair giveaway entry process?

I’m trying to organize a small giveaway for my followers and I’m completely stuck on the rules. I want it to be simple and fair, but I’m worried if asking for a comment and a share is asking too much, or if that’s even allowed on some platforms. How do you all usually structure the entry requirements?

I kept it simple: one required action, comment with your answer to a quick prompt. Then I used a random picker and announced the winner the next day.

I tried like and comment once, but lots of people just hit like and never commented, and I couldn't reliably draw a winner from that. It felt clunky.

My sense is baseline one action to keep it fair, like 'comment with a short answer' and maybe offer an optional extra entry for sharing or tagging a friend, but clearly label it as optional and not required. Also check the platform rules because some places don't love asking for shares.
