How worried should i be about a weak urine stream and incomplete emptying?
#1
I’ve been noticing a weaker stream for a while now, but lately it feels like I really have to strain to empty my bladder completely. My doctor mentioned it could be related to prostate enlargement and suggested we keep an eye on it. I’m just wondering if this feeling of incomplete emptying is something others have experienced as a first sign.

I started noticing it a while back too. The stream felt thinner and it took longer to empty. It was unsettling, but I tried not to panic and kept an eye on it week by week.

I kept a tiny diary for a month—how long it took, whether I felt fully emptied, and how many times I woke at night. Seeing patterns helped me talk with the doctor and gave something concrete to review.

Has anyone checked whether meds, caffeine, or dehydration might be messing with it more than the underlying issue?

I did not want to overthink it, but I did talk to a nurse and did a simple urine test. Waiting on results still, but at least I stopped pretending nothing was happening.
