Hunt Showdown vs Apex for weekend night gaming decisions

I keep seeing these headlines about climate change events — record floods, heatwaves, fires — and I realize I don't actually know what's happening right now. I tried following the news but every time I open an article it's either doom-scrolling or some politician arguing. I just want a clear picture of what major climate-related disasters or policy changes have happened in the last few weeks. Not a prediction for 2050.

So far I've checked the BBC climate page and watched a couple of PBS NewsHour segments on YouTube. That helped a little but they cover so many topics I got lost. I also tried the Climate Action Tracker website but honestly the graphs made my eyes glaze over. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong sources. Or maybe I'm expecting a simple summary that doesn't exist. I feel like I should know more than I do.

Is there a news outlet or a subreddit or even a newsletter that just lists recent global climate events without the opinion stuff? Like a weather report but for the whole planet. I don't need analysis or calls to action — just facts about what actually happened this month.

Check out the Climate Brief newsletter. It gives a clear, concise summary of recent climate events without heavy analysis. I find it super helpful!

You've got the right idea with focusing on specific sources. Ecosystem Marketplace often covers recent disasters and events succinctly. Definitely worth a look.

Yeah, I feel you! The Guardian has a climate section that might help. They usually report major events without too much fluff.

I feel like every climate source is either doom-focused or just too technical. Have you checked out the Carbon Brief? They provide straightforward updates without the political mess.

A subreddit that could be useful is r/climatechange. Sometimes you'll find updates there, although it's mixed with opinions. Still, they share factual news quite often.
