Need a reliable self-care routine before summer events arrive
#1
I dropped a fair chunk of change on serums and devices a few months ago, convinced I just needed to buy the right stuff to finally get my skin in order. Now my wallet is lighter, my bathroom counter is cluttered with half-used bottles that didn’t do much, and I’ve got maybe thirty bucks left to fix the whole mess. I work sixty-hour weeks and I’m not about to add a twelve-step ritual to my mornings, but I also can’t afford to waste more money guessing. The expensive vitamin C I bought made me break out, the fancy LED mask was a total gimmick, and the only thing that didn’t irritate my skin was a basic drugstore cleanser I started using out of desperation.

So here’s where I’m stuck. I need a routine that uses maybe three products, all under ten dollars each, and actually does something for dullness and fine lines without requiring me to wait ten minutes between steps. Is that even realistic, or am I looking for a unicorn at that price point? If you had to build a bare-bones morning and night routine from the cheap end of the shelf, what would you grab and in what order? I’d rather hear what actually worked for someone with a similar budget and schedule than another list of “affordable” options that still add up to eighty bucks.

You want three products? Just grab a decent cleanser, a moisturizer, and a sunscreen. You really don’t need to complicate things; keep it simple.
