Need tech tutorials and step-by-step guides for urgent project

honestly i don't even know where to begin anymore. i've spent the last three weekends trying to get internet from the living room to my bedroom and i'm just done. the router is in the living room, my desktop is in the bedroom, and i need a wired connection because wifi drops constantly during games. i tried powerline adapters first because everyone says they're plug and play but one outlet in my room is on a different circuit apparently so it worked for maybe ten minutes then the connection started cutting out every thirty seconds. then i tried a really long ethernet cable running along the baseboards but my roommate tripped on it twice and now she's mad so that's out. i looked into mesh systems but i don't have the energy to research which one actually works for gaming latency and my budget is basically tapped after buying the powerline stuff that didn't work. is there one single thing i can buy or do that will just work without me having to configure anything or run cables through walls or figure out circuit breakers. i don't care about the perfect solution at this point i just want something stable enough to play a match without disconnecting.

Honestly, buy a long Ethernet cable and run it through your house, or get a decent mesh system.
