Returning to nostalgia and classic entertainment after ten years away
#1
I’ve been trying to find the name of a specific 90s cartoon for weeks now and I’m completely drained. I’ve scoured old TV listings, watched grainy YouTube compilations, asked friends, even messaged a guy who runs a nostalgic TV blog. Nothing. Every time I think I’ve got it, it’s a false lead—some show with similar animation or a vague plot that doesn’t match the one scene I remember. I don’t even have the energy to describe the full premise anymore, just a single image burned into my head from when I was maybe six years old: a character, possibly a kid or a small animal, sliding down a giant, winding slide that goes through a series of bright, almost liquid-looking rooms. There was no dialogue, just a weird synth soundtrack that sounded like a toy keyboard run through a delay pedal. It aired in the mid-90s on either Fox Kids or the Saturday morning block on UPN. I’ve already ruled out Bobby’s World, The Adventures of Tintin, and Creepy Crawlers. Is there any obscure, short-lived series from that era that had a long, surreal slide sequence in its opening or in a single episode? I need the simplest possible answer because I cannot keep digging.

You might want to check out Glimmer and Glitz". It had a scene with a slide that's pretty reminiscent, though it’s a lesser-known show. Not my favorite, but could fit your description.
