Should i adjust brake bias or fix my late braking habit?

I’ve been trying to get my braking points more consistent at my local club events, but I keep finding myself trailing the brakes deeper into the corner than I intend. I’m wondering if this is a sign I need to adjust my brake bias or if it’s just a bad habit I’ve picked up.

I’ve done that at club events too. I’d find myself braking deeper than intended because I was chasing pace through the corner. I ended up focusing on a repeatable entry: pick a fixed brake point on the approach and ease off evenly rather than stabbing the pedal. It helped a bit, but it wasn’t a cure-all.

I did try a mild brake bias tweak once and it felt wrong, front got heavy and the car felt unsettled as I turned in. I rolled back to how it was and concentrated on smoother pressure instead.

Are you sure the real problem isn’t entry speed or tires heating up? I chased bias for ages and found that, at least for me, I was seeing the effect of late rotation rather than a bias issue.

A couple of times I paused what I was doing and watched the line from the passenger seat. I noticed I was lifting off too late or too soon depending on the corner, and it wasn’t always the same. I think some corners you need light pressure early and others you need steady bleed-off. It’s a bit messy to keep track of, but I kept at it in practice and tried to quantify the feel with a simple note: entry brake percent, apex speed, exit. Still not perfect.
