Should I call the clinic if my blood pressure is high before my next check-up?

I’ve been trying to get my blood pressure under control with diet and walking, but my last reading at the pharmacy was still higher than my doctor wants. I’m not sure if I should call the clinic now or just wait for my scheduled check-up in two months.

That sounds stressful. If that reading was clearly above target and you’re feeling uneasy, I’d call the clinic today instead of waiting. They can tell you if you should come in sooner or adjust the plan.

I’ve been there too. Diet and walking helped some days, other days not so much. The pharmacy cuff can be finicky, and stress or not enough rest can push numbers up.

Could it be the cuff or the time of day rather than a real trend? I keep wondering if the problem is the measurement itself instead of your body.

I tried small tweaks and kept a simple log. Cutting caffeine in the evenings and a short after-dinner walk nudged the readings down a notch, but it wasn’t a clean fix, and I’m not sure it means normal again.
