Should i go all-digital on ps5 or keep physical discs?

I just got a PS5 and I’m trying to decide which version of the new game to buy, but the whole digital vs. physical debate is really confusing me. The disc version is cheaper right now at my local store, but I love the convenience of not having to swap discs. I’m worried about locking myself into one ecosystem if I go all-digital.

Disc version was cheaper here, so I grabbed that. I like knowing I can sell a used copy later and not be locked to just one storefront. Digital is convenient for no swapping, but you do lose resale options and you’re tied to the wallet and store you bought from.

Digital all the way for me after a couple of weeks. Preloading is glorious, you can jump into a game instantly when it drops, and no case clutter. Not having to go to the store is nice, but you need space on the SSD and a good internet plan because big games download long.

I keep circling back to whether the real issue is storage or whether you actually want full access to your library on a different console someday. I tried sticking to digital only and it felt fine until a big update and a delayed download window and I started worrying about limits. It’s messy.

Do you value ease over flexibility?
