Should i go with 4k or 1440p for gaming with my 4070?

I’m trying to decide between a 1440p and a 4K monitor for my new setup, and I keep wondering if the higher resolution is actually worth the performance hit on my RTX 4070. I play a mix of fast-paced shooters and slower single-player games, and I’m not sure if the sharper image at 4K will feel better than the higher frame rates I could get at 1440p.
