Should I increase my antidepressant dose if it's not working?
#1
I’ve been on the same dose of my antidepressant for about a year, but lately I feel like it’s just not working like it used to. My doctor mentioned the possibility of a dosage increase, but I’m worried about side effects getting worse or just feeling numb. Has anyone else gone through this kind of adjustment?

I did a dose bump last year and the numbness did fade after a few weeks, but the first days were not fun.

With the antidepressant I kept a simple notes log about sleep mood energy and appetite when the dose changed and it helped me see small patterns.

Sometimes the problem felt like it was stress or sleep, not the dose, so I paused and tried other things first.

Would you talk to your doctor and ask for a plan with clear steps if you go up and what to watch for?
