Should I jump into the Phantom Liberty expansion or finish side missions first?

I just finished the main story of Cyberpunk 2077 and I’m feeling completely empty, like I need to sit with these characters and this world for a lot longer. I know there’s a point of no return warning, but I reloaded my save and I’m just wandering around Night City now, unsure if I should jump into the Phantom Liberty expansion or try to mop up side gigs first to stretch it out.

I hit the same post credits slump after finishing. Night City felt huge and intimate at the same time, like I could wander forever. I wandered, did a couple gigs here and there, but nothing really clicked. I ended up reloading and just letting the map breathe for a bit, which felt oddly comforting.

Set a timer and did three side gigs, checked which npcs I'd missed. Some were fun, some felt like filler. By the end I had more money but the main draw still lingered.

Maybe the problem isn't the ending. Do you want more time with these people, or is the city itself what you're missing?

If you do want more, Phantom Liberty is a whole different vibe, though it can be weird to jump in without a plan. I tried a bit, felt like I needed to reorient, then dropped back to finish a couple of gigs and left the rest for later.
