Should I keep watching Mushoku Tensei despite Rudy's problematic behavior?

I just finished watching the first season of *Mushoku Tensei* and I'm genuinely conflicted about Rudy. On one hand, his magical growth and the isekai world-building are absolutely captivating, but his creepier actions keep pulling me out of the story. Does anyone else find themselves in this weird spot of loving the show's fantasy elements while really struggling with the main character's behavior sometimes?

I hear you. Mushoku Tensei pulls me in with the magic and the worldbuilding, and I keep watching even when Rudy does things that make me squirm.

There was that moment I paused and argued with myself about mistakes people make when they’re starting out; the show somehow makes the fantasy glow feel earned, even if the hero isn't.

I bummed out with a buddy and we debated whether the show wants us to forgive him or just watch him stumble.

Do you think the problem is really the main character, or is the setup pulling you toward mixed feelings?

I tried to separate the magic from the ethics in my head and focus on the world, but that creeping vibe sticks around.

I’ve even fast-forwarded a couple of scenes, hoping the plot would shift, and it did not.

Sometimes my mind drifts to other shows where the protagonist grows cleanly, and then I remember the scenery and the rituals and I’m back to the screen.
