Should i pay for a pro photo op with the main cast at the sci-fi con?

I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting a professional photo op with the main cast at the big sci-fi convention this summer, but the price is really steep. I'm worried the line will be so rushed that it'll just feel like a blur, and I'll end up with an expensive, awkward picture.

I did one last summer. The price was brutal and the line felt endless. The moment itself was over in a few seconds and it still seemed rushed. I ended up with a decent photo, but it didn't feel earned given the chaos. If I had to choose, I’d skip the top tier and put that money toward something you can actually savor afterward.

I'm budget minded, so I almost passed. The line alone was painful, and I kept thinking about what I could buy with that money. The photo was fine, but you read the anxiety in it. I’d rather invest in a cheaper option or just meet briefly and take my own shot later.

I did a package once, hoping for a warm, goofy moment. The staff moved you through so fast you barely had time to smile. The picture shows the line more than me, unfortunately. It’s not a disaster, but not magical either.

Is the real problem the price or the moment you're hoping for?
